I loved the days of physical map books.  If you were planning to go somewhere you had not been before, you would take out the map and plan your route. I would write down the names of the streets, and how many streets I would need to cross over before the one I wanted to turn into.  Before setting out on my journey I would have a pretty good idea of where I needed to go.  I however still needed this little piece of paper sitting on the passenger seat with all the instructions of what turns I would need to make to get to my destination and I would have a place marker inside the map book just in case I took a wrong turn.

As I started driving, I would continuously refer to my piece of paper and would also glance at the map book with the visual layout, making sure that I was staying on track and anticipating what was coming next.

This exercise of checking the map however could never prepare me for everything I would encounter on my drive.  It could not tell me exactly what the streets would look like, what the buildings would look like or what traffic and obstacles I would encounter on my path.  It couldn’t tell me if the roads would be wet, or if the trees on the side of the road would be in full bloom or dropping their leaves.

As I would take the drive, the experience of the drive would enter into my being into a way that looking at a map could never do.  I would see certain bill boards, or interesting artwork at certain intersections.  I was experiencing, remembering and integrating all that this route had to offer along the way.

It was this assimilation of the experience that enabled me to know the territory and not just the map.

As you enter into your journey of Human Design, you will get your Human Design Chart.  This is your map.  You can study and learn about the map for the rest of your life, but it is not until you actually step into experimenting that you begin to truly see.  Living your Human Design is not the same as learning a bunch of information about Human Design.

The map is not the territory.

To truly connect with the truth of who you are, you need to step from the map and dive into the territory.

  • No map can ever tell you what the experience will be, it is just a map, a guide.
  • No other person can step into your territory for you, or tell you what your territory is like.

Only you can know the truth of who you are.

Only you can walk this path.

This path is not the easy path and it is filled with challenges. It will break your concept of reality and drop the veils of the illusion.

It is the path of the warrior spirit.

It takes courage to move out of the maya, out of the illusion, out of the conditioning field, to which all of us are exposed.  It can feel like letting go of everything you know and for most people this is scary and daunting.

Yet, while you cling onto the illusion, you can never live the life you were designed to live.

It all starts with awareness.

Your aura, strategy and authority are the best tools for you to step from just seeing the map, to living in the territory.  It is about experiencing for yourself what it means to be you – outside of the conditioning and the illusion.  It takes time, so be patient.  Notice.  Watch. And have awareness of what you see that you did not see before.  Never let anyone else tell you how it works for you.

Live your own truth.

If you would like to walk the path of the warrior spirit and be guided to KNOW and LIVE the truth of who you are, then come and play.

Human Design is an amazing awareness tool that can help you to see what is not you (your patterns, your beliefs, your conditioned behaviour), to let go of all that is holding you back and creating pain and suffering in your life.

Start living as your true self today!
