Are you faced with not having enough clients in your business?
Many people step into the world of self-employment, because they have an aspiration of what that is going to be like. What it is going to bring into their lives.
Then they find themselves in this world that’s so busy. They are wearing so many hats and trying to juggle running their own business with their personal life and their family life. It can get really overwhelming, and seem like it’s all too much.

When we are faced with the fact that we just not attracting clients into our space, create so much stress.
When people identify that not having enough clients is an issue for them, very often, the assumptions that they make about what they need to fix and change in order to do that can be quite disconnected from what’s really going on underneath, within the subtle and energetic realms.
I have identified a number of reasons why this happens and over the coming weeks I am going to share all of those with you.
The Busy Life
The first of those is having too much on their plate, being really busy. From an energy perspective, saying I’m too busy, or I have too much on your plate, is essentially sending a message into the universe that says: “You know what – I am too busy, there really is no space in my life for more.”
By consistently having a really busy schedule and a busy life, we can’t really expect new things to come into our space and for new energy to come in.
By not prioritising and not making space for yourself and for your business, you are sending a message that this is not a priority for me.
Before you get really tough on yourself and start beating yourself up over this, I want to let you know that most of this is unconscious. There are a multitude of reasons why we are potentially keeping ourselves busy.
- It may be a stalling or procrastination technique that is causing you to just fill your day with all this “stuff” to do, so that you seem busy.
- It may be that you are subconsciously trying too look busy as you have equated being busy with working hard.
- You may be trying to justify your decisions or your reasons for becoming an entrepreneur and stepping into this world of running your own business.
We jump into this idea of having a business with so much enthusiasm and so much energy, but on a subtle realm and a subtle level, there is a lot of stuff that is going to start surfacing. We are either aware of that or we are not.
If we want to attract clients into our space, we really need to show that we are ready for more.
That we are open to receiving and that we want to have new things coming into our space willingly and openly. Having a really busy schedule and having lots of things to do makes it’s almost impossible to send the message out to the universe that we are ready for more, because energetically they are miss matched.
A long time ago, I realised that everything that is happening in my life has been because of a choice that I have made. That I make – me alone. When I first learnt about this, I got really bumbed out and really sad, because I realised that all the yucky stuff that has happened in my life is because of me! That is horrible right! I don’t want to have a yucky life because I made some poor choices or decisions. Luckily though there was this realisation that just as much as I has made potentially bad choices that had brought things into my life that I didn’t enjoy, I also had a choice to bring absolutely anything into my life. This became so empowering for me – this idea that I do have a choice. That it is up to me.
I realised that I can work with my mindset and my energy and make things different, make things the way that I want them to be.
I want you to recognise that having too much on your plate and being busy really is a choice. I want you to see this as an empowering choice. A choice that you can make, to have the space in your life to really allow things to flow in.
Here are some practical things you can do:
- Sit down and do a whole dump off all the things that you need to do on a day to day basis and a week to week basis.
- Then really start to filter through and notice where are you just piling on extra stuff so that you just look busy.
- Where can you start weeding out things and making more space and time for you.
Over the next couple of weeks, I am going to be sharing a few tips and strategies and a lot of different areas where energetically and practically in your life you are potentially pushing clients away from you. Remember that a lot of this is subconscious, but what we are wanting to do here is to bring it onto the conscious level so that you can start making new choices and leading your business and your life toward the direction that you want.
Get Curious and Start to Notice
- Take a look at your schedule and start to notice how you create “extra” work for yourself.
- Notice when you have jumped into being busy for busy sake.
- Notice how much you can actually filter out and weed out in your day.
- Where you can be a little bit more effective with your time.
- Where you can leverage off the people in your life to create space that you need to welcome new things into your life.
In the coming weeks, I am going to be sharing various ideas and concepts, based on an energy level as well as a practical level around this concept of not having enough clients. I want to help you get into a space where you can really connect in with why there isn’t a steady flow of clients coming in.
By looking at each one of these things you will be able to start noticing which of them are really prominent in your life and then you will be able to apply the practical steps and things into your life to really shift you into the next level.
In the meantime, work on the points address above and see what surfaces for you. What aha moments do you get? What realisations surface for you?
I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks.
Have a beautiful and magical week, connecting to your heart and hearing the messages of you soul.
